I DREAM OF JEANIES Finding the perfect-fitting pair of jeans sometimes feels like Mission: Impossible. That is, until you’ve visited indicustom.com, a recently launched website that lets you take on the role of designer. Using the technology of its mother company, Archetype (which helps produce custom-fit clothes for companies like Lands’ End and JCPenney), the site allows customers to select a fabric wash, style (you can even choose the color of the back pocket embroidery) and cut (relaxed or snug); a few additional questions such as your weight and height help the company’s designers customize the pants to your body type. Four weeks later, a package with your personal pair arrives at your doorstep, and the company keeps your pattern on file. If the fit doesn’t suit you, simply send the pants back for readjustment.
